Junjun is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership at The Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Junjun has a Masters from The University of Groningen in the Netherlands and a PhD in Education from The University of Auckland in New Zealand. Her research interest is in investigating teachers’ and principals’ well-being and how their well-being contributes to school effectiveness.
Surviving, recovering, and thriving: Looking inside of teacher well-being
Teaching is a high-risk profession. It is especially true in the current crisis global wide as the new coronavirus is spreading and teacher professional life has been dramatically changed. Teachers in Hong Kong are not an exception. This presentation aims to offer participants an opportunity to gain a picture on teacher well-being. Specifically, participants will be encouraged to identify the influential drivers and effects of teacher well-being. The possible ways to enhance teacher well-being will be discussed.
